About Hollywood
Hollywood has a commission-manager form of government. The city commission consists of 7 members, one of whom is the mayor. The mayor is elected from the city at large, while the other 6 members of the commission are each elected by their own districts. Our current city manager is George Keller, who runs the day to day operations of the city. The city manager (not the mayor) is the administrative head of the city government and is responsible for the efficient administration of all departments of the city. The city manager is appointed by a majority vote of the commission. Hollywood has a weak mayor form of government, not a strong mayor system. The current salary for the mayor of Hollywood is $53,000 per year.
